Label Preferences
Label preferences can be set in the group's Preferences tab to identify what labels are used for the group's prescriptions, how many are printed, and what prints on those labels.
Use the dropdowns to learn more.
This setting allows you to choose a label type for the group's prescriptions. The Default setting follows the Label Type set in Rx Detail Preferences. Refer to the Table 1 below for the label types available.
Table 1. Label types by Group Type.
Group Type | Available Label Types |
---|---|
Nursing Home, Facility Location, or Correctional Facility |
Default, Daily Laser, Half Label, Thermal |
All other group types | Default, Half Label, Thermal |
This setting provides the ability to set a specific number of label copies for all new prescriptions filled for patients in a group. The dropdown list includes the options Default and the numbers 0 through 14. An option must be selected from the dropdown list. Although this is the default setting for the group, it is possible to override it at the prescription level, using the Labels field in Rx Detail. Setting '0' label copies means no labels will be generated for prescriptions.
In Rx Detail, refill prescriptions use the number of labels from the previous fill; therefore Rx Detail is the final override for the number of label copies used in a prescription.
This setting determines whether labels are printed for prescriptions in the group when they are batched. The dropdown list includes options to automatically print the labels or to print no labels. This setting auto-populates in the Batch Preferences window when scheduling a batch but can be overridden in the same window.
This option is only available for non-retail group types. When selected and the Label Type is Daily Laser, a description of the drug prints on the vial label and on MAR reports. The description of the drug is taken from the Colour field in the Drug Folder.
